Fitting it
Five minutes to fit. Three days to wait.
Fitting it is quick. The part people get wrong is what happens next: the adhesive needs three full days to cure before the cover touches the base. Rush that and the whole thing comes off the wall.
The three days matter. The adhesive keeps gaining strength as it cures. Clip the cover on early and you will pull the base straight off the wall. The tape is also single use, so place the base where you want it the first time.

Separate the parts
Take the cover off the base. Only the base goes on the wall. Fitting them together risks lifting the base off before the adhesive has cured.

Prepare the surface
The wall must be flat, clean and completely dry. Not brick, not textured render, not anything damp.

Apply the base
Peel off the red adhesive backing and press the base firmly onto the wall in the position you want.
The adhesive is single use. Once it touches the wall it cannot be repositioned or reused. Work out where the base goes before you peel anything. -
Add the screws
Put a screw through the hole at the top and the hole at the bottom of the base and tighten with a screwdriver. We strongly recommend using both the tape and the screws. It is the most secure way to fit it.

Wait three days
Do not attach the cover or touch the base for at least three full days. The adhesive keeps gaining strength as it cures, and it needs that time to reach full hold.

Clip the cover on
After the three days, push the cover onto the base until both catches click. To take it off again, hold both side tabs down at once and lever it out.
Press it, then leave it
Firm, even pressure across the whole base for thirty seconds does more for the bond than anything else. After that, the best thing you can do is nothing at all for three days.
