Plugs stay in, hands stay out
Cords feed out through two narrow slots. Your lamp, monitor or heater keeps running while the plug itself is out of reach, and so is the switch.
Since 1999 · Designed in Australia
Micky Ha Ha is the only power point cover that lets your appliances stay plugged in while it blocks little hands from the plugs, the cords and the switches.

Why this exists
Plug covers stop objects going in. They do nothing about the plug that is already there, the cord hanging off it, or the switch beside it.

How it works
A base that screws and sticks to the wall, and a cover that clips onto it with two catches small hands cannot work.
Cords feed out through two narrow slots. Your lamp, monitor or heater keeps running while the plug itself is out of reach, and so is the switch.
The cover is clear, so you can check at a glance whether a point is on or off. No guessing, no taking it off to look.
Both tabs have to be squeezed at once to lever the cover off. It is an adult movement, and a deliberate one.
The shape is the safety feature
The dome is deep enough for a standard plug and its cord, and no deeper. That is deliberate: a bulky plug pack cannot fit inside, so nobody can force the cover shut over one and hope for the best.

Not only for nurseries
The base can stay on the wall permanently and the cover clipped on only when you need it — when the grandchildren visit, or when the shed gets busy.

Our story
In 1999 Catherine Hovenbitzer could not find anything that would stop her eight month old son Micky pulling on dangling power cords. In two or three pulls he had the cord out and an active power point exposed.
Nothing on the market restricted access to the outlet itself, so she designed one. The product still carries his name.
